Driving through Shreveport we found this hole in the wall. Boy are we glad we found it. I don't normally eat fried food and realized there was no other option but fried. I just went with it. The fried catfish and shrimp were amazing. The breading was light and didn't feel heavy at all. The tarter sauce was so good alongside. Will definitely drive through again!! Delicious!
My boyfriends from Shreveport so he's the only reason I know about this gem here but since telling me I get it at least twice each time we visit his family. Very good , always fresh and hot.

THE BEST FRIED SEAFOOD IN TOWN NO DOUBT!! My bf took me to JF last week and I can't wait to come back into town again to eat it. Everything we ate was fried to perfection. We ordered fried fish, shrimp, oysters, popcorn shrimp!! Ughhh it was so good. And they make their own special tarter sauce that's out of this world! Their tarter sauce is little different than normal but boy it is goooooooood Fried fish is fried to perfection like seriously. It's sooo flaky and yummy. And it's cheap here!! I'm from MN and was in the neighborhood picking up cajun delicacies to bring home as they're not available to me locally. I love fried oysters! I saw John's sign and the truck just magically pulled into the lot. I order the 6 oyster basket than came with fries. I hit the whole basket with a bit of the house-made hot sauce and WOW! These oysters were big and encased in a thin crispy crust that did not obscure the eating of a small amount of pure ocean. The texture jelly-like and smooth but with no tooth resistance at all. Among the best I've ever had! I wish I had been hungrier so as to try the fish and shrimp too. I went to the much ballyhooed Herby K's for dinner later that evening and wish I would have come back here instead... Oh! The young woman manning the counter and wearing a tee shirt proclaiming "I am not your beh" was fun to banter with and had a great smile!
